News from Karen…
“Over the last two months I have been busy putting together a number of initiatives for our high school young/adult ministry. Firstly the evangelization team ministry has grown spiritually as well as in numbers. I am so excited to see young people from each cluster and beyond desiring much more of God through prayer and to grow in their Catholic faith. Secondly there is now a core team of youth leaders that have come together to pray and put together a number of programmed evenings for high school aged teens(keep posted on details). This will begin very soon and looks to be an awesome move of Gods grace. Thanksgiving Sunday at St. Patrick’s, Dublin 9:00 a.m. Mass will be a youth lead Mass. We will have refreshments and a few fun presentations after Mass. Everyone is invited to attend. Oct 16-17 is a special event for young adults. Christopher West is coming to Toronto. He is a dynamic speaker on the teachings of JP2 Theology of the Body. I am ordering a few tickets so whoever wants to attend contact the office ASAP for more information. Beginning in October, I will be doing a 15 week program at St. Anne’s called “Pure Life”. It is a very solid program supporting teens in purity. On September 15 for the first time, Martin Ritsma and I will be beginning a Catholic youth ministry group at F.E. Madill. There will be an announcement next week at the school. November is Pro-Life month and we are planning something special then as well... So stay tuned! It appears the ball is really rolling! Please continue to keep this ministry in your prayers.” Karen Doyle is presently employed by St. James, Seaforth, St. Patrick’s, Dublin, St. Joseph’s, Listowel, and Sacred Heart, Wingham as a youth minister. She is currently working with many young people from the area.
