Thanksgiving Appeal…
Attached to the bulletin this week is the “Thanksgiving Appeal” brochure and offertory envelope. Please write your name and which church you are supporting. “Let us bring hope and change lives – together.”
First Reconciliation Meetings…
For children who attend St. Vincent de Paul and are in grade 2: parents are invited to an information meeting for first Reconcilliation at St. Patrick's in Dublin at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 8th.
For children who attend St. Patrick's (Kinkora) and are in grade 2: parents are invited to an information meeting for first Reconcilliation at Kinkora Community Hall at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 13th.
Important Change to Discernment Meeting: Due to a scheduling conflict, the meeting for all interested parishioners who would like to serve on the new parish council has been moved to Wednesday, October 14th at 7:30 p.m. in Kinkora.

Wedding Banns…
There is a promise of marriage between Kyle Murray, son of Sharon Murray and the late Dan Murray and Anna Nicholson, daughter of Joe & Jayne Nicholson. They will be married on October 24th at St. Patrick’s Church, Dublin. Please pray for Kyle & Anna and the success of their marriage. 1st Publication.
Youth Wing Night…
"Wacky Wing Nite" is going to be held in Kinkora Hall Oct. 6 beginning at 7:15 p.m. Next week in Brussels at St Ambrose Hall, Oct 13, 7:15 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., same program. All youth can attend both nights if they choose. There will be a small cost of $2 to help off set the cost. This promises to be a very exciting and fun evening. Karen Doyle - CYM
St. Vincent de Paul CWL News
St. Vincent de Paul CWL meeting is Oct. 6 at 7:30 pm. (note date change). Guest speaker will be from Grandmothers to Grandmothers
Campaign to seek awareness and support for Grandmothers in Africa. More than 220 groups of Canadian Grandmothers have taken up the call. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Thanksgiving Food Drive…
St. Vincent de Paul Parish will be having a food drive in the month of October. As we celebrate Thanksgiving, this is one small way in which we can help the less fortunate. Some suggested items for the food bank: peanut butter, hamburger helper, instant coffee, canned pasta, cake mixes, canned meat/chili, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, etc. Please leave your items at the back of the church.
CWL Meeting in Kinkora…
St. Patrick’s CWL will hold their next meeting on Wednesday, October 7th at 7:30 p.m. at the Kinkora Community Centre. All ladies welcome to attend. Our Pot of Gold will be over $85 but you must be present to win if your name is drawn. Come out for an evening of faith and fellowship.
Soup ‘n Chili Luncheon…
St. Patrick’s CWL will be hosting a Soup ‘n Chili Luncheon on Sunday, October 18th after the 10:00 a.m. Mass in honour of Mary Ryan who has recently moved to Mitchell. Donations will be gratefully accepted to support St. Patrick’s Church Building Fund at Mary’s request.

Cleaning of the Church…
Will take place on Wednesday, October 14th at St. Patrick’s Church. Men, please come out in the morning: Women, your help is needed at the church after lunch. If enough help is available, the kitchen in the hall will also be cleaned. Please bring a pail and some cloths. “Many hands make light work!”
SENIORS ALIVE are planning their next day trip for Wednesday, November 18th to the Black Forest Inn, Conestogo for dinner followed by an afternoon matinee. More details will follow next week but circle the date now if you think you might be interested.
