Sanctuary Lamps…

Parishioners are invited to donate the candles burning before the tabernacle in St. Vincent de Paul for special intentions or deceased loved ones. The candles burns for seven days and the suggested offering is $5.00. It will be published if requested in the bulletin. Please call the office to arrange it.

 

Newly Baptized…

Welcome Jayda Victoria Houben, daughter of Greg & Julie, who was baptized on Nov. 1st at St. Patrick’s Church, Kinkora.

Welcome Sebastian James Voros, son of Joe & Renita, who was baptized on Nov. 1st at St. Vincent de Paul Church.

 

Attention - Altar Servers 

In appreciation of your service on the altar and to the church, you are invited to go on a trip to “Laser Quest” in London on Saturday the 21st of November. We will be leaving Kinkora and Mitchell at 10:30 a.m. and arriving back at 4:30 p.m. If you are able to come please phone Johan Van Der Eyk at 519-393-8222 or John Gaffney at 519-348-4096 by November 15th to confirm. We are looking for parent volunteers to drive the youth to London and back.

Right to Life…

Stratford and District Right to Life Memberships  ($20) can be paid by using pre-marked envelopes from your Sunday Offertory envelopes and putting it into the collection. These memberships and donations help us to educate the public on Pro-Life Issues.

 

Women’s Bible Study…

Will be held on Wednesday afternoons at 1:00 p.m. in the Kinkora area, starting on November 11th. Contact Melissa Baes at 519-348-8900 for more information.

 

Come and See Weekend…

Come listen to the Lord, by attending a “Come and See” Weekend at St. Peter’s Seminary Nov. 27 to 29, 2009 (or Feb. 26 to 28, 2010).  This is open to men 17 years of age and older. Arrival time is between 7:00 & 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening. The weekend concludes with Mass and lunch on Sunday, allowing participants to depart around 1:30 p.m. Cost is $20.00.

There will be a BRUNCH following the 10:00 a.m. Mass in Kinkora on Sunday, Nov. 29th. Come and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Everyone welcome.

 

Annual Turkey Bingo…

Will you be yelling “Bingo” on Friday November 20th, St. Patrick’s School, Kinkora? It is the  Annual Turkey Bingo.  Come try your luck at winning a turkey a ham or a prize from the much anticipated Door Prize table. House Building in Cambodia…

Rianne Rops will be traveling to Cambodia to build houses for those who cannot afford one, with the “Tabitha Experience.” She is required to raise #1,000.00 (the cost of building one home). Any donations toward this cause would be greatly appreciated. Please make cheques out to “Tabitha.” Charitable receipts are available.

 

Parish Mission…

From November 28th - December 2nd.  A Franciscan Friar of the Immaculate will be preaching the Parish Mission.  The Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate are a new branch of Franciscan life.  They are flourishing with many vocations.  You can check them out on the internet at www.marymediatrix.com

 

Tree of Promise…

Please drop your forms into the collection basket at your church or at the parish office prior to November 22nd, 2009. The lighting of our “Tree of Promise” will take place following the 7:00 p.m. mass at St. Patrick’s Church, DUBLIN  on Tuesday, November 24th. Thank you for your support.
