Proposed legislation Bill C-384, an act to amend the Criminal Code (right to die with dignity).   Please write letters to your MP asking them to vote against this bill and stating that life is from conception until natural death. More information is on the enclosed sheet in the bulletin.

Tree of Promise…

In this week’s bulletin, please find information regarding the annual lighting of the “Tree of Promise.” Please return these forms by Sunday, Nov. 22nd. Thank you for your support.

 

Come and See Weekend…

Come listen to the Lord, by attending a “Come and See” Weekend at St. Peter’s Seminary Nov. 27 to 29, 2009 (or Feb. 26 to 28, 2010).  This is open to men 17 years of age and older. Arrival time is between 7:00 & 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening. The weekend concludes with Mass and lunch on Sunday, allowing participants to depart around 1:30 p.m. Cost is $20.00.

Right to Life…

Stratford and District Right to Life:  Memberships at St. Patrick's Church ($20) can be paid by using pre-marked envelopes from your Sunday Offertory envelopes and putting it into the collection. These memberships and donations help us to educate the public on Pro-Life Issues.

 

St. Patrick’s CWL…

St. Patrick's, Kinkora CWL will hold their next meeting on Wed., Nov. 4th following the 7:00 p.m. Mass.  Please join us for Mass as it will be offered for deceased CWL members.  Dianne Parr will be our guest speaker and will share her experiences in Palliative Care. All are welcome to attend!

 

Mitchell Logan K of C News…

The Mitchell Logan Knights of Columbus will be serving breakfast after Sunday Mass in MITCHELL on November 8th. The next General meeting will be held November 17th at St. Vincent de Paul Parish Hall at 7:30 p.m. All members are invited to attend. St. Patrick’s Recycling…

The truck is ready to roll.  We only have a few boxes to fill of newspaper and away it goes. We are also still collecting pop cans. You may drop your newspapers and pop cans off at the bin at the church or at the home of Ron  & Darlene Van Bakel, Ivan & Ann Roobroeck, or Ray & Pauline White. Thank you for your continued support of these items. All money collected will go to St. Patrick’s Church Building Fund (Kinkora).

Friday, November 20th, St. Patrick’s SCHOOL, Kinkora is hosting their Annual Turkey Bingo.  Come try your luck at winning a turkey a ham or a prize from the much anticipated Door Prize table. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Bingo begins at 8:00 p.m. “Lug a Mug” for coffee or tea as we follow in our “ECO students footsteps” Call Marilyn Reidy 347-4074 for more information.
