A Day with Mary… May 22, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate will be offering a special day of retreat based on the messages of Fatima at St. Patrick’s Church, Kinkora. The Friars will give talks, hear confessions, have time for private prayer and adoration and conclude the day with the vigil Mass on Pentecost Sunday in Ordinary Time. Details are on the poster.

Deanery Mass… Pope Benedict XVI has proclaimed 2009 - 2010 as the Year for Priests. The purpose of this special year is to foster a deepening spiritual renewal among priests to strengthen them for the task of proclaiming the gospel in our time. As part of the diocesan celebrations to mark this unique event in the life of the universal Church, there will be a Mass for Priests celebrated on May 27th at St. Joseph’s Church, Stratford located at 96 Huron Street, beginning at 7:00 pm. All the faithful of the parishes in the Deanery of Huron-Perth are invited to join with Bishop Ronald Fabbro and the priests of the deanery for this Eucharistic celebration, wherein thanks will be offered for the gift of the ministerial priesthood.

There will be a World Youth Day Meeting on Sunday, May 16th at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall, Stratford 2 to 4 p.m. Publication of Banns… There is a promise of marriage between Michael Joseph David Kolkman, son of Joseph & Theresia of the parish of St. Vincent de Paul, Mitchell and Lacey Jolene Frizzell, daughter of William & the late Darlene of the parish of St. Timothy’s, Orangeville. The marriage will take place May 22, 2010 at St. Timothy’s in Orangeville. (3rd Publication)

St. Vincent de Paul CWL News A PROGRESSIVE DINNER is being planned. What is it? A fun social event where a carpool of 6 people arrive at one home for appetizers, then travel to a different home to enjoy the main course. All participants will then meet at the home of Carolyn & Greg Deck for coffee/dessert and quilt raffle draw. When is it? Monday, June 14th, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Who can participate? ALL Adult female parishioners of St. Vincent de Paul Church. What is the cost? $20.00 per person or $5.00 for dessert/coffee only.
