Trinity Sunday
June 7th, 2009
The Most Holy Trinity…
The Catechism teaches that “by sending his only Son and the Spirit of Love in the fullness of time, God has revealed his innermost secret: God himself is an eternal exchange of love, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and he has destined us to share in that exchange” (221). “The complete Trinity dwells in us” (R.P. Philippon). By worshiping the Trinity we realize the full truth of ourselves. “In the communion of grace with the Trinity, man’s ‘living area’ is broadened and raised up to the supernatural level of divine life. Man lives in God and by God” (Pope John Paul II).
Prayers and Sympathy…
of the parish are extended to the family of Ben Nyland whose funeral Mass was celebrated by Rev. Martin Nyland at St. Patrick’s Parish, Dublin this week. “May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace, Amen.” May the Nyland family find comfort in God’s love and peace in His faithfulness.
Screen-Free Sunday - June 14
In keeping with the Pastoral Plan of the Diocese of London – “to celebrate the Liturgy with full, active and conscious participation” – and to foster a deeper liturgical sense of the Sacred Actions of the Mass, hymnals will be available for the 10 a.m. Mass on June 14th in St. Patrick’s, Kinkora. We have too many screens in our lives as it is – TV screens, computer screens, blackberries and iPods. We need to allow the Liturgy to be screen-free and allowed to speak to us without overheating our senses with technological interference. Next screen-free Sunday will be July 5th. Fr. Paul Nicholson

Bake Sale in Kinkora…
Did you know that Malaria kills thousands more people than HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Measles and Leprosy combined? Did you know that Malaria is a highly preventable disease that kills over 3,000 children every day and claims up to 3 million lives each year in Africa? Did you know long-lasting insecticide treated bed nets are the most efficient and cost effective way to prevent malaria? On Sunday, June 28th following the 10 am Mass, St. Patrick's, Kinkora CWL will be hosting a Bake Sale with proceeds going towards BUY-A-NET Malaria Prevention Group. All ladies of the parish are kindly asked to donate two baked items (pies, dozen cookies, dozen tarts, plate of squares, etc.) to be dropped off that morning before Mass. Please support this worthy cause; your generosity is appreciated and will save lives!!
