Easter Sunday

April 4, 2010

Jesus Christ is risen today, Alleluia!

Our triumphant holy day, Alleluia!

Who did once, upon the cross, Alleluia!

Suffer to redeem our loss, Alleluia!

Prayer for Easter…

RISEN LORD, your merciful love took you to the cross for our sakes, and even in the midst of that terrible suffering, you forgave. Now you live forever in glory and invite us, sinners though we are, to share eternal glory with you. As we strive to embrace your gift of mercy, grant us hearts full of forgiveness for our brothers and sisters. May we rejoice with all people in your victory over sin and death, a victory that has set us free to love as you have loved. May we embrace that freedom forever in your name. Amen.
